The aim of the project “Intelligent Management Node for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving – RES-Energy Saving” is to transfer scientific knowledge and experience on modern electricity systems to secondary education, focusing on renewable energy sources, energy saving and smart grids, as today’s students are the ones who will be called upon to contribute to the solution of environmental problems and especially climate change. It aims to popularise science in these areas, making it more accessible to secondary school students and more widely, while fostering a research culture and highlighting innovative practices.
The project is supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation) under the 3rd Call of the Action “Science and Society” entitled “Research, Innovation and Dissemination Nodes” (Project Number:2213).
The APEX project team consists of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and specifically of the Smart RUE research team of ICCS-EMP with collaborating institutions Community Energy River, Sivanidios School and the 1st EPAL of Mytilene.
